Durham, NC - August 26, 2008:The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Jenny Shepard to the post of Executive Club manager, effective August 18, 2008. As manager, Shepard brings her own flair to serving Executive Club members and building on the success the Executive Club has enjoyed in recent years. Shepard joins the Inn after a successful tenure as major and planned gift assistant at UNC-TV.

Before coming to North Carolina and the Inn, Shepard earned a bachelor of business in administration and marketing at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. “I am extremely glad to return to the hospitality field and to do so at a premier hotel,” says Shepard. “I look forward to melding the skills I’ve developed over the last several years as I serve the Executive Club and its members.”

Shepard is referring to the customer service and management skills she honed working as catering coordinator and then conference services manager at The Fairmont Dallas, Dallas, Texas and, more recently, with major donors at UNC-TV, its Board of Trustees and the UNC Board of Governors. Her background will be a boon to the Executive Club and the service it provides its prestigious members.
